دی آئڈل کی کہانی پاپ گلوکاروں کے گردگھومتی ہے جس میں جوسلین اور ٹیڈروس کو دکھایا گیا ہے، سیریز میں دکھایا گیا ہے کہ نروس بریک ڈاؤن کی وجہ سے جوسلین کا دورہ منسوخ ہوجاتا ہے، اس دورے کے منسوخ ہونے کے بعد وہ امریکا کی سب سے سیکسی پاپ اسٹار کا درجہ دوبارہ حاصل کرنے کیلئے دوسرے پاپ اسٹار ٹیڈروس کو ڈیٹ کرنا شروع کرتی ہے۔
شاندار کاسٹ کے باوجود بھی ڈرامہ ناظرین کو متاثر کرنے میں ناکام رہا، اُن میں سے اکثریت کا یہی سوال ہے کہ اس سیریز کو دکھانے کا کیا مقصد تھا؟
