Unidentified dead body found in Karachi

KARACHI: Police have recovered an unidentified body from a vacant plot located in Defence Housing Authority (DHA).

The body was found in Tauheed Commercial from a truck standing at a vacant plot inside a gunny bag. The deceased could not be identified and his body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Hospital (JPMC) for legal procedures.

Rescue officials said the body was several days old which was stuffed inside the sack. They said the victim could not be identified after a postmortem is conducted to identify the cause of death.

In another unrelated incident, a woman was found dead in Mehmoodabad area with a noose around her neck in a purported suicide. Police raised suspicion and arrested two people including her husband over the incident.
