ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will leave for Bahrain today for a two-day visit aimed at promoting Pak-Bahrain relations.
According to details, the foreign minister is starting a two-day visit to the country from today during which a delegation of top officials will also arrive in Bahrain along with Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
During his two-day visit to Bahrain, FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi will attend the second meeting of the Pak-Bahrain Ministerial Commission. There will also be meetings with Bahrain’s top leadership.
Earlier, FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi had left for China for a two-day official visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart. According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the visit was part of a high-level exchange between Pakistan and China. The Foreign Minister was accompanied by senior officials.
Earlier, FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi strongly condemned India’s role in the grey listing of Pakistan in the FATF, after the move came after India admitted its conspiracy against Pakistan.
India has admitted to conspiring against Pakistan in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Indian Foreign Minister J. Shankar said that we made sure that Pakistan could not get out of the grey list.
Condemning India’s role in the FATF, the foreign minister said nine days ago that the issue had been raised with the international body before. Pakistan is a partner in the peace process. A small section of Afghanistan does not want a conference in Pakistan.
