Twitter has undergone a quick shift since Elon Musk became the organization’s CEO a few weeks ago. On Thursday, Tweetbot and many third-party Twitter clients suddenly stopped working. It turned out to be a deliberate choice, according to The Information’s reports.
Since Thursday evening, users have been complaining that they couldn’t use Tweetbot, Twitterrific, and other apps you can use to scroll through Twitter without going directly through Twitter’s software.
Tweetbot and other clients are experiencing problems logging in to Twitter. We’ve reached out to Twitter for more details, but haven’t heard back.
We’re hoping this is just a temporary glitch and will let you know more as soon as we know more.

Neither Twitter nor Musk has made any public statements about this latest development.
The developers of these platforms are also in the dark, not simply the users of the third-party programs. Some third-party Twitter clients, such the more than ten-year-old Tapbots, want to expand their offerings to cover new microblogging platforms, like Mastodon.
We still don’t have any news from Twitter.

The popular third-party Twitter client Tweet Bot may have been prohibited from utilizing the Twitter API, according to a leaked message from an internal Slack channel obtained by The Information, even though neither Elon Musk nor his team have made an official announcement about it. Although, Twitter seems to be against using third-party clients like Albatross and Fenix, however, certain users might still be able to use them.
