ECUADOR: A journalist was robbed in front of a camera during a live broadcast on an Ecuadorian sports channel.
The incident took place in one of the cities in Ecuador, a journalist named Diego Ordinola, who works at Ecuador’s TV Sports reporter, was telling fans outside the Isidro Romero Carbo Monumental Stadium about the match during live coverage of the match when suddenly a young man who appeared to be a robber came in front of a camera with a revolver wearing a coronavirus protective mask.

In the blink of an eye, he showed his revolver, snatched the smartphones of both the journalist and the cameraman, and disappeared. After regaining consciousness in a few seconds, the cameraman also ran in the same direction where the masked robber had gone, but despite running for a considerable distance, the robber could not be traced.
Diego Ordinola shared the clip saying the incident happened in broad daylight and was left stunned. “We can’t even work quietly,” he added saying it happened around 1 pm in the afternoon outside the stadium. “The @PoliciaEcuador promised to find these criminals,” he added.
