Truth behind additional episodes 11 and 12 of ‘Agent Kim Reactivated’

Social media users have been buzzing with fresh excitement and some confusion after reports spread that *Agent Kim Reactivated* is adding two more episodes to its broadcast run.

The online chatter, while fueled by official announcements, appears to be partly driven by the difference between bonus programming and additional chapters of the main story line.

SBS has confirmed that the series, which has been structured from the start as a ten-episode run, will return briefly for two special broadcasts following the finale on 25 July 2026. The drama’s initial plan was consistent and clear: episodes aired on Fridays and Saturdays on SBS, culminating in the final installment on the date set from the beginning.

The renewed attention comes after the show achieved exceptionally strong viewership, peaking at around 22.3 percent. In response to that momentum, SBS confirmed that two additional special episodes are scheduled to air on 31 July and 1 August 2026. The special broadcasts are described as variety-style programming, with a working title circulating online in the form of something like “Chief Kim The Universe.”

Crucially, the “two more episodes” should not be understood as Episodes 11 and 12 of the canonical drama plot. Instead, they are expected to function as special content that complements the main series.

Viewers can anticipate behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and appearances by the principal cast, including So Ji-sub, Choi Dae-hoon, Yoon Kyung-ho, and others associated with the production.

In effect, SBS’s announcement turns the finale into a milestone moment rather than a full stop.

While the main story concludes on 25 July, the network will follow it with two official extra broadcasts on 31 July and 1 August that focus on expanding the audience experience beyond the narrative itself.
