All train services operating from Quetta to other parts of the country and within the province have been temporarily suspended due to the prevailing security situation.

Railway officials said that the Jaffer Express travelling from Quetta to Punjab, the Bolan Mail service to Karachi, and the Chaman Passenger train operating between Quetta and Chaman have all been suspended.

In addition, the Jaffer Express coming from Peshawar to Quetta has been halted at Jacobabad.

According to railway sources, affected passengers will be refunded the full amount of their tickets. A decision on the resumption of train services will be taken after a review of the security situation.

It may be recalled that on 29 January 2026, security forces killed 30 terrorists during an operation in Harnai, Balochistan.

A further 11 militants were also killed in Panjgur.

Security agencies have said they are closely monitoring the law and order situation across the province and are taking all possible measures to ensure the safety of life and property.
