Amazon Prime’s Them became the OTT’s one of the trending series when it was released back in 2021.
‘Them’ season 1 also known as ‘Them: Covenant’ is a series set in 1953 during the Second Great Migration. It follows a black family who moves from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood and is promptly confronted with both real and otherworldly threats to their lives.
Now finally, three years later, the series returns with an entirely new story. Here’s everything we know about how, when, and where you can watch the horror series.
Plot
Them: The Scare is set in 1991 Los Angeles and follows an LAPD Detective who is assigned a gruesome murder that has even the most seasoned detectives disturbed.
Episodes and release date
Contrary to the first season of Them, which consisted of ten episodes, Them: The Scare will consist of eight episodes. Them: The Scare premiered on Prime Video on April 25.
Cast
Despite the change in story, it has been confirmed that season 1 star Debby Ayorinde will return, but she will be playing a new role as LAPD Detective Dawn Reeve.
No other season 1 actors have been announced yet, but it isn’t entirely impossible that they could be recast in new roles as well. Several new cast members have been announced, including the legendary Pam Grier, though no character names or descriptions have been provided yet.
