Tezgam Tragedy: Royal Couple conveys thoughts, prayers
LONDON: The British Royal Couple conveyed their thoughts and prayers over Tezgam Express incident which engulfed 73 people and injured many.
According to sources, the Kensington Palace has released a statement. In their condolence message, the Prince William and Kate Middleton wrote,” Having just returned from visiting Pakistan, we were horrified and deeply saddened to hear about the tragic fire on the Tezgam train near Rahim Yar Khan”. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all the people and families affected by this heart-breaking disaster.”

The Royal duo visited Pakistan on a five-day official tour. The couple met top officials of the country. During their meetings in the country, Prince William and Kate Middle encouraged girl’s education and promote bilateral relations between the two countries.
Earlier on Thursday morning, at least 73 people were killed and several injured when fire broke out in three bogies of Tezgam Express at Liaquatpur in Rahim Yar Khan.

The train was traveling to Rawalpindi from Karachi when it caught fire due to explosion in one of the gas cylinders. The fire engulfed three train carriages in no time. One business class bogie and two economy class bogies were completely destroyed due to high fire.
