Pakistan has witnessed a new wave of terrorism in recent weeks, with terrorists attacking forces in the Panjgur and Noshki areas of Balochistan on Wednesday night, killing seven young men and sending 15 terrorists to hell.
In Noshki, terrorists tried to enter the FC camp, to which a full response was given. In recent days, the wave of terrorism in Pakistan has suddenly intensified. The killing of a Christian pastor in Peshawar and the attack on police after the attacks in Lahore and Islamabad are also a link to terrorism. On Thursday, police had set up a roadblock in Nowshera’s Jalozai area, during which unknown persons started firing on a police mobile in which the personnel was martyred.
Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that terrorists are trying to sabotage peace in the country by joining hands with RAW while he has also termed ISIS active in Afghanistan as a major threat to the region.
According to media reports, Pakistan recorded a 56 percent increase in terrorist attacks in 2021 compared to 2020, and 395 people were killed in nearly 300 attacks. According to the report, 186 civilians and 192 Pakistani security forces personnel were killed in these attacks.
It is worth mentioning here that most of the terrorist incidents in Pakistan took place after the Afghan Taliban seized power in Afghanistan in August last year.
Pakistan has tried in the past to bring the Taliban to the negotiating table, but the terrorists have always responded negatively by interpreting the desire for peace as weak. The present government has tried to negotiate with the terrorists out of a desire for peace while releasing the imprisoned terrorists in good faith has given a positive message. However, the Taliban terrorists have sabotaged the negotiation process as in the past Operations have accelerated.
While Pakistan is embroiled in internal security issues, security issues are also increasing in the world. On the one hand, because of the conflict in Yemen, bitterness is growing in the Gulf countries, on the other hand, because of Ukraine, the United States and Russia are lining up to try their hand at each other.
It is not possible to ignore the rapidly changing situation in the world, because whether it is the conflict in Yemen or the tension in Ukraine, the effects of the intensification must be on Pakistan. In such a scenario, confusing Pakistan on the internal fronts could be a ploy of the enemy, under which attempts are being made to confuse religious representatives and forces at different times.
It is imperative for the government, realizing the gravity of the situation, to take immediate steps to address the internal and external challenges so that Pakistan can be secured on the internal and external fronts.
