KARACHI: Task Force has been formed after the incidents of fire in two major markets of Sindh capital.
According to details, the recent fire in two major markets in the Saddar area of Karachi caused valuable loss of life and property in which dozens of shops burned to the ground.
Commissioner Karachi came up with the idea of setting up a task force after worthy goods were burnt. Steps are being taken for fire safety after the notification was issued. According to the notification issued for fire safety, the commissioner will be the chairman of the Karachi Task Force, which aims to control fires across the city.

The notification issued on 20th November, four days before today, has the signature of Commissioner Karachi. The DGSBCA will be a member of the task force.
Other members of the task force for fire protection will include Metropolitan Commissioner KMC, all DCs of Karachi Division, Chief Fire Officer, and others. Representatives of K-Electric and Sui Southern Gas were also included in the task force. The committee’s job is to ensure compliance with fire safety laws.
