Tariq Fatemi again appointed as Special Assistant to PM

ISLAMABAD: The government on Monday appointed Tariq Fatemi as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.

A notification of the appointment of Mr Fatemi has been issued. According to the notification, the appointment has been made on the approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his position would be equivalent to the minister of state.

Mr Fatemi was appointed SAPM on Foreign Affairs soon after Shebaz Sharif become Prime Minister, however, his appointment was revoked the very next day. He has also served as the special assistant to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
