Pakistan’s skipper Shadab Khan has won the toss and decided to bat first against Afghanistan in the T20I series opener at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.
“The pitch looks good to bat on,” said Shadab who won the toss. “It’s my first game as a captain so I am too excited. We have some really good cricketers. We will play competitive cricket today,” he added.
Meanwhile, Rashid Khan, captain of Afghanistan, said they will try to utilise conditions in their favour. “Pakistan are always a good side to play against. It will be a tough contest but we look forward to playing some competitive cricket,” he said.
