ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Law Farogh Naseem will chair a subcommittee meeting of federal cabinet today to consider on removing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
According to details, the subcommittee will provide its recommendation and forward it to the federal cabinet which will take the final decision under Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The committee in its notification asked the applicant, Shehbaz Sharif, NAB, the Punjab government and the medical board to bring relevant documents.
It has been learned that notices regarding the subcommittee meeting were issued to all parties to ensure their presence.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif had filed the application for removal of his brother Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL.
Arrangements for best medical treatment for Nawaz Sharif had been completed at Harley Street Clinic in London by his son Hussain Nawaz.
