The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has announced a strict ban on the sharing of past Matric and Intermediate examination papers on social media. Individuals found violating this rule will face penalties under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
This action comes in response to widespread concerns about the rampant circulation of old exam papers on platforms like WhatsApp by teachers from both public and private institutions.
The board emphasized that anyone caught sharing past or guess papers online will face fines and potential imprisonment as outlined in the PECA Act.
A notification issued by the Controller of Examinations directed all educational institution heads to address this issue. The board warned that the illegal sharing of past paper materials undermines the integrity of the examination system, which must be protected.
