SRB takes notice of bogus appointments under forged signatures

KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has taken notice of bogus appointments in various departments of the board and other government offices with forged signatures.

In this regard, Secretary Revenue Munawar Ali Mahesar has written to all departments, members, and Director of the Board of Revenue (BOR) about the issuance of fake appointment orders. The letter has also been issued to commissioners, deputy commissioners, and administrative officials.

The letter states that “a few miscreants are holding fake appointment orders in respect of ministerial posts/revenue filed posts under the forged signatures of the officers of Board of Revenue, Sindh.”

It asked to keep a lookout on the suspected bogus appointments which it never sanctioned. “It is clarified Board of Revenue, Sindh has not issued any appointment order or any offer letter including its attached departments/wings/field offices.”

SRB clarified it has not issued any appointment order or any offer letter and has launched into the bogus appointments. The revenue secretary should that no department should entertain or act upon such an appointment letter signed by it.

It directed the department to immediately report any such order letter to the board so that strict criminal action can be taken against such culprits.
