Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the government’s dedication to empowering all members of society through the provision of accessible education for every child.
In his statement on World Braille Day, observed on January 4, 2025, the Prime Minister announced that the government will supply Braille textbooks to educational institutions, improve teacher training programs, and create specialized centers for students with visual impairments.
On this World Braille Day, we stand in solidarity with the global community to honor the transformative impact of Braille, a remarkable system that has facilitated access to knowledge, communication, and independence for millions of visually impaired individuals around the world.
He remarked, “Braille serves not merely as a means of reading and writing; it represents a gateway to inclusivity and equal opportunities, enabling individuals to lead lives of independence and dignity.”
“World Braille Day serves as a reminder that genuine progress is reflected in the openness and fairness of our society.
It is a day to reaffirm our commitment to constructing a Pakistan where every citizen has the necessary platform and opportunities to succeed. I encourage every individual and organization to contribute to the promotion of inclusivity and accessibility for all,” he concluded.
