Muslims across Pakistan will observe Shab-e-Meraj 2025 tonight with devotion and reverence, commemorating the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
This significant event occurs on the 27th night of the Islamic month of Rajab, recalling the mystical journey of Prophet Muhammad. He traveled from the Kaaba in Mecca to Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, where he led the prayers.
Following this, the Prophet ascended to the heavens on the divine animal, ‘al-Buraq,’ where he met Allah and received divine instructions. Each year, Muslims remember this blessed night with immense reverence, offering special prayers, reciting the Quran, and fasting.
The Sindh government has announced a public holiday for January 28, Tuesday, for both government and private schools and colleges in observance of Shab-e-Meraj. A notification from the provincial authorities confirmed that all educational institutions will remain closed for the day in honor of the religious occasion.
Shab-e-Miraj, also known as the Night of Ascension, holds great significance for Muslims as it marks the miraculous journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to the heavens.
