LAHORE: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to suspend flight operations at Sialkot International Airport (SKT) for the next two weeks. The airport manager announced that it will be closed from May 6 to May 18.
Previously, seventeen flights operated by various airlines departing from Jinnah International Airport Karachi were canceled due to low passenger numbers during Ramazan.

Among the cancellations, PIA flight PK-368 from Karachi to Islamabad at 4 pm was called off, along with a private airline’s flight from Karachi to Dubai.
This closure is not unprecedented; in 2022, Sialkot Airport was also closed for a period of 15 days. Specifically, from December 5 to December 20, the airport remained shut due to runway repair work.
