Shehbaz criticizes govt of using “black law” against rivals
LAHORE: President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz group and former Chief Minister of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif has vehemently criticized the arrest of Syed Khursheed Shah.
In a press release issued by Mian Shehbaz Sharif stated that Khursheed Shah is a reputable person in Pakistan’s political circle. “He is a firm, serious and genuine political activist,” he added.
Sharif said in the statement that Imran Khan has been using discriminatory law against political rivals for over a year. “His arrest at the National Assembly meeting and the Kashmir Conference is extremely tragic. The rulers have gone totally blind for political revenge”, he maintained.
He added that Imran Khan is focused on revenge based politics, he is ignoring the crucial Kashmir Issue over petty politics.
Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau’s Rawalpindi office has arrested Pakistan People’s Party senior leader Khursheed Shah on Wednesday from Islamabad.
The arrest was made after the allegations against the senior PPPP leader, Khursheed Shah was proven in the initial investigation.
The corruption watchdog has been investigating the leader August 7 and it was alleged that Shah has built bungalows, petrol pumps, hotels, in the name of others. (Benaami)
NAB Sukkur had initially summoned Shah through an official letter, however, the senior PPP leader responded with a letter stating that he declines to present before the inquiry commission.
