A joyous wedding celebration turned into a heartbreaking tragedy on Monday when a wedding van collided with a trawler in the Moro Qaumi Char Meal area of Kindyaro. The crash claimed the lives of seven people and left 16 others injured.
According to police sources, the victims, members of the Tagar tribe, were on their way home after attending a wedding ceremony. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported 10 critically injured individuals to a hospital in Nawab Shah.
However, many victims expressed frustration with the lack of adequate emergency medical facilities, which intensified their distress. Authorities have identified some of the deceased, including Ali Mohammad Hameed Tagar, Zaheer (son of Mehar Din and Sharifan), along with two others whose identities remain unknown.
This tragic accident highlights both the dangers of road travel and the pressing need for better emergency healthcare services in remote areas.
