Samsung Electronics Co. has unveiled the Galaxy C55 5G, a budget-friendly smartphone series tailored for the Chinese market, marking the revival of its C series since 2017.
This latest release, debuting on Monday, draws its foundation from the Galaxy M55 introduced in India, featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and a robust 5000mAh battery. Boasting a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a peak refresh rate of 120Hz and brightness reaching 1000 nits, the device also supports 45W fast charging. Priced at 1,999 yuan ($274), the Galaxy C55 5G offers an array of specifications.

The dual SIM (Nano) Samsung Galaxy C55 runs on Android 14 and flaunts a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. Powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, it can be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and offers storage options up to 256GB, expandable up to 1TB.
Its camera setup includes a versatile triple rear unit comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter, while the front camera boasts a 50-megapixel sensor.
Connectivity features encompass 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS, and a USB Type-C port, accompanied by speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos technology. Sensors include accelerometers, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, and proximity sensor, with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and Samsung’s Knox Vault feature for added protection. The device is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support, measuring 163.9×76.5×7.8mm and weighing 180 grams.
