ISLAMABAD: Sahiwal University has deferred the Punjab government’s order that directed to close all the educational institutes across the province.
The Registrar of Sahiwal University slammed the SOPs measures being taken by the Punjab government. According to the notification issued by the Punjab government, all educational institutions and training institutes were ordered to remain closed but the University of Sahiwal differed from the law.
Dr. Shafiq, Head of Computer Science Department at the University of Sahiwal in this regard said that the Punjab government had issued a notification to close educational institutions but the VC has ordered that the university will remain open and the necessary staff will also mark their presence.
In addition, the notification issued contrary to the government notification of the University of Sahiwal further said that the staff members and officers who have not been called by the university are also active on their mobile phones the whole day so that they can be informed about the timings and schedule if required.
On the one hand, while the coronavirus epidemic is affecting all administrative affairs around the world, including Pakistan, the University of Sahiwal is unable to make all arrangements online.
