RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan values its relations with European Union countries and we earnestly look forward to enhancing mutually beneficial multi-domain relations based on common interest.
This he said while talking to Envoy of Romania to Pakistan Nicolae Goia, who called on him at GHQ in Rawalpindi on Monday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including latest situation in Afghanistan and enhanced bilateral cooperation with Romania were discussed.
Both reiterated the desire to further enhance bilateral relations in all fields.
The visiting dignitary also appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional stability and pledged to play his role for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
Earlier this month, former US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa after attending the Islamabad Security Dialogue.
They held discussions over the regional security situation including Afghanistan and bilateral cooperation in various fields, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
