Pakistani model Roma Michael, hailing from Lahore, has caused a stir on social media after her recent appearance on the ramp in a swimwear competition at the Miss World Grand pageant.
A professional model and entertainment industry stalwart, Roma holds a B.Tech degree from the University of South Asia and boasts millions of followers on social media.
Roma has showcased her acting prowess in films like “Dehli Gate” and “Kahy Dil Jidhar” and drama series like “Tu Zindagi Hai” and “Pyari Nemoo”. She has also appeared in numerous TV commercials and fashion shoots for prominent Pakistani brands.
Despite her successes, Roma’s participation in the Miss World Grand pageant has ignited a heated online debate. A video of her ramp walk in a swimsuit, initially shared on Instagram, drew criticism and backlash from Pakistani social media users.
Many viewers expressed displeasure, citing cultural principles and accusing her of tarnishing Pakistan’s image.
The intense backlash forced Roma to delete the video from her Instagram account shortly after posting it.
