Dubai’s famous fried chicken restaurant, BonBird, is set to launch in Pakistan later this year, with its first location opening in Lahore this December. This marks the beginning of a planned rollout of 12 locations across the country, as announced by a managing director from the local franchise partner on Monday.
In June 2024, Yolk Brands, the Dubai-based parent company of the award-winning BonBird hospitality group, revealed its partnership with Eat Brands, a prominent operator in Pakistan. Eat Brands is known for managing successful ventures like the Canadian restaurant chain Eggspectation, which focuses on breakfast and brunch, and Cue Cinemas.
BonBird, an all-American style eatery, is celebrated for its contemporary twist on fried chicken, which is free from hormones, antibiotics, and preservatives.
The menu features a variety of offerings, including buckets of crispy fried chicken, melts, rice bowls, chicken burgers, and wraps, as reported by “The Caterer”, a UK-based magazine for hospitality professionals.
Eat Brands founder Zarrar Mustapha shared with Arab News that 12 branches will be opened in various cities over the next three years, with plans for further expansion.
He also mentioned that Eat Brands is the sole investor in BonBird’s Pakistani venture, with an anticipated investment of over $5 million during this period.
