KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended three most wanted suspects of a gang involved in a murder of a man and over 150 crimes incidents in Karachi.
According to a rangers’ spokesman, the arrested accused were identified as Amir Nawaz, Haider Khan and Saeed Mohammad and were arrested in an intelligence-based operation.
The spokesman said the accused were also wanted to Kohat Police in several criminals’ cases. He said the accused fled from Kohat to Karachi to escape their arrest and were hiding in the metropolis.
The Rangers Sindh on request of SSP-Investigation Kohat apprehended the three suspects. Citing the initial probe the rangers officials said, accused Amir Nawaz, Haider Khan and Saeed Muhammad are allegedly involved in more than 150 criminal cases.
The suspects involved in the killing of Qatar police employee Faisal Haroon, who was on leave, during a robbery outside UBL in Kohat on February 13, 2020.
An accomplice of the detained accused namely Haji Muhammad is absconding and raids are being conducted to arrest him, said rangers spokesman. The accused has been handed over to Kohat police for legal formalities.
