KARACHI: Weather conditions in Sindh are set to change once again, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasting thunderstorms and rain in several parts of the province, while some areas of Karachi may also receive light rain.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), several parts of Sindh are expected to experience moderate to intermittent thunderstorms and rain on Tuesday. Karachi Division may also receive isolated thunderstorms and light rain.
The Met Office said the monsoon low-pressure system that was previously positioned over southeastern Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Gujarat has now moved over Kutch and the adjoining Arabian Sea. The system is expected to continue moving west-southwestward.
Under the influence of this weather system, thunderstorms and moderate to isolated rain are expected in Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Jamshoro and Hyderabad today.
For Karachi, the weather department forecast mostly cloudy and humid conditions, with isolated thunderstorms and light rain possible in some areas.
In view of the forecast, residents of Karachi and other parts of Sindh have been advised to remain cautious and take necessary precautions as weather conditions may change.
