The rail traffic remained disrupted after Havelian-bound Hazara Express derailed Sunday near Sahara Railway Station in Sindh’s Nawabshah district, 275 kilometers away from Karachi.
The schedule of the trains leaving Karachi has reportedly been altered by the train disaster in Nawab Shah, and there is a chance that there could be further delays.
On Sunday afternoon, at least 30 people were killed and several others injured after multiple bogies of the Hazara Express derailed near the Sarhari Railway Station near Nawabshah.
The authorities have said that there will be significant delays in the departure of several passenger trains from Karachi to various destinations. The Pak Business Express will now leave at 6 p.m. instead of 4 p.m., according to the revised timetable.
According to railway officials, the Mellat Express will leave at 8:30 am, the Tizgam Express will leave at 8 pm, and the Karachi Express will depart at 7 pm instead of 5 pm.
The authorities have also stated that there is concern over a potential increase in railway departure delays.
