Quetta Police claimed that it have successfully traced the high-profile murder case of businessman Muhammad Hashim Norzai and arrested five suspects including the alleged mastermind in an intelligence-based operation.
Addressing a joint press conference, DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat and SSP Serious Crime Investigation Wing (SCIW) Dost Muhammad Bugti said the Serious Crime Investigation Wing have arrested mastermind Hikmatullah Norzai while his brother Saadullah Norzai remains fugitive and Police were conducting raids for the arrest of the other person.
According to the investigation, the suspects confessed they the murdered businessman over a business dispute involving Rs160 million.
Police also recovered a cache of weapons, including a Kalashnikov, a light machine gun and other firearms, on the identification of the main accused.
Highlighting the performance of the Serious Crime Investigation Wing DIG Imran Shaukat said the unit had successfully solved five blind murder cases over the past two months.
