The Government of Punjab has launched the Asan Karobar Card Scheme, a transformative initiative aimed at supporting small entrepreneurs by offering interest-free loans of up to PKR 1 million.
Designed to promote sustainable business growth, the scheme uses a digital SME card for transparent and structured fund utilization.
Key Features of the Asan Karobar Card
· Loan Limit: Up to PKR 1 million
· Tenure: 3 years
· Loan Type: Revolving credit for the first year
· Repayment: 24 equal monthly installments after a 3-month grace period
· Interest Rate: 0%
Borrowers can use the loan to pay suppliers, utility bills, taxes, and make digital payments via POS or mobile app. Cash withdrawals of up to 25% of the loan limit are allowed for business purposes.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants must be:
· Small entrepreneurs (existing or aspiring) operating in Punjab
· Aged between 21 to 57 years
· Pakistani nationals with valid CNIC and mobile number
· Creditworthy with no overdue loans
· Able to pass a psychometric and digital verification process
Only one application per individual or business is allowed.
How to Apply?
Applications are accepted digitally via the PITB portal with a non-refundable fee of PKR 500. Applicants must undergo CNIC, business, and credit verification conducted by authorized agencies.

Loan Disbursement & Repayment
· First 50% of the credit is accessible in the initial 6 months
· Second 50% is released after meeting usage and registration requirements (PRA/FBR)
· A grace period of 3 months is provided before repayments start
· Monthly repayment begins with a minimum of 5% of the outstanding balance (principal)
· Non-business-related transactions are restricted
Additional Information
· Annual card fee: PKR 25,000 + FED (deducted from approved limit)
· Security: Digital personal guarantee & life assurance coverage
· Support: Feasibility studies available on PSIC and BOP websites
