More than two decades after How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days became a beloved romantic-comedy classic, a sequel is officially in development, giving fans fresh hope of returning to the world of Andie Anderson and Benjamin Barry.
Kate Hudson, who starred as Andie in the 2003 hit, is attached to produce the upcoming sequel.
The project comes as Hollywood continues to revisit popular films from the late 1990s and early 2000s, with studios increasingly turning nostalgic favorites into long-awaited follow-ups.
The original film, which also starred Matthew McConaughey, remains a fan favorite thanks to its witty storyline, memorable romance and unmistakable chemistry between its leads.
While fans have long hoped to see Hudson and McConaughey reunite, details about the sequel’s cast and storyline have yet to be finalized.
The project is still in its early stages, so there is currently no confirmed release date. It is also unclear whether Hudson and McConaughey will reprise their iconic roles.
With nostalgia-driven sequels such as The Devil Wears Prada 2 generating renewed interest, the question now is whether How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days can achieve a similar revival.
For fans of early-2000s rom-coms, the possibility of another chapter is certainly something to look forward to.
