Punjab Police vow action after attack on Elite Force van in Lahore
LAHORE: The caretaker government of Punjab has expressed firm resolve to take action against those involved in attacking a van, carrying Elite Force personnel, on Canal Road Lahore late last night.

The provincial government posted a video late last night on Twitter, purporting to show that a group of youngsters carrying batons attacking a van of Elite Force, forcing personnel to flee from the spot.

A spokesperson for the provincial government said “Strict Action will be taken against all these Miscreants who attacked Elite Force team and their Vehicle.”

It has been learnt that the police team was returning from Gaddafi Stadium after performing duty for the security of the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) final match when their vehicle was intercepted by a group of stick-wielding workers.
Meanwhile, police top brass on Sunday issued an alert for all cops in Lahore after the Canal Road attack.
