ISLAMABAD: Workers and supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday blocked key entry, exit points of Islamabad, creating a massive traffic chaos between the twin cities.

Reports gathered by MM News revealed that PTI supporters staged rallies and demonstrations on at least five different locations, severely affecting traffic on GT Road, Taxila, Rawat, Airport Road, and Murree Road.
In Rawalpindi, PTI workers blocked all roads leading from Pir Vadhai Mor to Islamabad.

Besides this, PTI workers blocked GT Road Rata Shah Chowk Margalla from both sides, which caused difficulties for locals living in the neighbourhood, particularly for business community.

PTI workers also blocked Motorway M-2 (Lahore-Islamabad) suspending traffic flow.

The PTI gave the protest call after Punjab Police failed to register FIR, as per PTI version, into assassination attempt on Imran Khan’s life in Wazirabad on November 3. The Wazirabad Police did register the case but on the complaint of a local Sub Inspector, who mentioned only one shooter Naveed, arrested from the crime scene seconds after the shooting.
