The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its losing streak as the benchmark KSE-100 Index fell over 2,000 points during the early trading on Friday.

At 11:14am, the benchmark index was trading at 167,161.45, a decline of 2,011.92 points or 1.19%.

On Thursday, bearish sentiment dominated the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), as investors remained cautious amid ongoing uncertainty and awaited clearer cues on geopolitical developments.

The benchmark KSE-100 Index fell by 2,406 points, or 1.40%, to settle at 169,173.38 points.

Meanwhile, The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) confirmed that all deposits held with the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development have now been repaid, totaling $3.45 billion, as the country continues to navigate its broader fiscal and external financing commitments under an IMF-backed program.

Moreover, oil prices rose on Friday morning over fears of renewed military escalation in the Middle East with Brent crude futures rising $1.23, or 1.17%, to $106.3 a barrel by 0107 GMT, while West Texas Intermediate futures were up $1.07, or 1.12%, at $96.92.
