ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the promotion of tourism was Prime Minister Imran Khan’s top priority.
In a series of tweets, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan welcomed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between both countries.
The tweets of Awan came after the signing of 13 MoUs between both countries in various fields earlier on Friday.
Highlighting the importance of tourism, Awan said that a Memorandum of Understanding for increasing cooperation in the tourism sector would be a sign of the development in the tourism of Pakistan and Turkey.
In a tweet, she posted, “The cooperation between state media of Pakistan and Turkey is a positive development. It has welcome to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in Pakistan Television, radio, and TRT, she added.
According to Awan, this initiative will promote cultural relations in Turkey and Pakistan. It would encourage the understanding of each other’s traditions and would further strengthen public relations, she wrote.
She further said, “Through these MoU, Pakistani and Turkish dramas will be screened in each other’s countries. This bilateral cooperation would not only facilitate the exchange of programmes between the two countries but will also strengthen to highlight the purpose of Muslim Ummah.”
Awan added that agreeing on cooperation between the two countries in the field of cinema would help to restore and promote the Pakistani film industry.
