KARACHI: The Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) board, established for Senate election 2021, has finalised the party candidates for the Senate elections scheduled to be held on March 03.
According to Bilawal House’s Media Cell, the PPP has issued tickets to 14 of its candidates, including Sherry Rehman and Senate Deputy Chairperson Saleem Mandviwalla.
The PPP issued tickets to Taj Haider, Shahadat Awan, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur, and Sadiq Ali Memon apart from Mandviwalla and Rehman for Sindh’s general seats.
For the technocrat seat, tickets were issued to the Sindh-based party’s Farooq H. Naek and Karim Ahmed Khawaja, whereas Palwasha Khan and Khairunisa Mughal for the women’s seat.
In addition, PPP has issued tickets to Azeem-ul-Haq Minhas in Punjab and Senator Farhatullah Babar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Meanwhile, the party has proposed Yousuf Raza Gillani as PDM joint candidate.
Earlier today, the ruling PTI had also finalised its candidates for the Senate elections, announcing Faisal Vawda and Sania Nishtar among the hopefuls.
