PPP demands to constitute JIT over former attorney general’s allegations

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) demanded to form a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) over allegations leveled by former attorney general (AG) Anwar Mansoor Khan.
Speaking to journalists in Karachi today (Monday), PPP leader Nafisa Shah demanded to constitute JIT to investigate the allegations.
She said that when former attorney general leveled allegations against judiciary, the bar council was demanding the resignation.
Commenting on PM’s Special Assistant on Accountability Shahzad Akbar, Nafisa Shah said that Shahzad should inform if he is the spy or head of NAB.
Referring to East Recovery Unit, She said that the Unit is suspicious department that has no legal standing.
On a question about Pakistan’s economy, Nafisa Shah said that the economy is in danger and federation was responsible for the situation.
Nafisa Shah said that Shehbaz Sharif should return to Pakistan and should play its role, adding that Bilawal Bhutto was playing real role of the opposition leader.
