PMD predicts another rain-spell in Karachi

Karachi receives its first shower of winter

KARACHI: A new rain system is about to enter Sindh’s capital and heavy rain will pour in the upcoming week.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi is expected to receive heavy rainfall on 28th August.
The PMD has predicted that the system from Bengal will bring heavy rains to Karachi. Between 30mm and 40mm of rain is expected to pour in the city.
The weather office, however, predicted pleasant weather in Karachi with chances of light rainfall or drizzle in the upcoming week.
Earlier on Thursday, various parts of Karachi received early morning drizzle and light rainfall. The weather turned pleasant in the city after several areas received light showers.
Various localities of the metropolis including Malir, Airport, Shara-e-Faisal, Rashid Minhas Road, Stadium Road, Hassan Square, and Liaqauatabad experienced late night and early morning drizzle.
