ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Muzzafarabad today to inaugurate the Kohala Hydropower project.
The prime minister will meet the premier and president of Azad Kashmir on the same day. He is also expected to address a ceremony after a briefing about the power project.
In another ceremony, Imran Khan will distribute Ehsas welfare program checks among the economically deprived people of the area.
Moreover, the prime minister will attend another briefing about the Ehsas program in Azad Kashmir. Further, another briefing is expected to be held on the Naya housing scheme.
Earlier today, PM Imran Khan called on the international community to hold India accountable for its human rights abuses in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
On the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, the prime minister said, “A continuing silence in the face of such blatant abuse is against humanitarian laws.”
According to the prime minister, these atrocities by Indian occupation forces on orders of the Indian premier Narendra Modi government are well documented by the United Nations.
