LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif has been summoned by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in a housing society case on 3rd July.
Khawaja Asif has been directed to appear at 11 a.m. along with the required documents. the PML-N leader had decided not to appear before the NAB today.
Khawaja Asif’s lawyer Chaudhry Najamul Hassan submitted a reply in NAB Lahore stating that Khawaja Asif will not appear before NAB today due to the Assembly session.
The reply also said that the next date will be given. It may be recalled that today, the NAB had summoned Khawaja Asif. He has been directed to bring the records related to the housing society.
Khawaja Asif Pranab had sought details on how much his family invested in Cantt Housing Society Sialkot. He has also been asked what are the sources of investment in Cantt Housing Society Sialkot.
He has been accused by the NAB of illegally selling 137 kanals of land with the connivance of the society’s management.
He has also been accused of occupying the lands of citizens who have never sold their lands. The NAB has said that society has illegally occupied the land. Khawaja Asif has illegally used his powers.
