PM to chair joint parliamentary party meeting of PTI today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a joint parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) today in the federal capital.

According to the details, the prime minister will preside over the joint parliamentary party meeting which will be held at 2:30 pm in the Committee Room of the Parliament House today.

The meeting will hold a consultation on the joint sitting of Parliament. The meeting will formulate a strategy for the approval of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF)-related bills from the parliament.

All the lawmakers of PTI and its allied parties have been asked to ensure their presence in the meeting. Earlier, the prime minister laid the foundation stone of the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development project, saying that it was important to dream big to achieve great things in life.

“Standing here, I feel like the Naya Pakistan that we dream of,” he said by adding this new city is the need of Lahore and Pakistan. “Neither anyone has cared about those living in 40 percent rural areas of Lahore nor pursued town planning after thinking about the poor people,” he asserted.
