ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will leave for Turkey this evening.
According to sources, PM Shehbaz Sharif will visit Turkey at the invitation of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which he will also attend the swearing-in ceremony of Erdoğan.
Spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, said in the weekly briefing yesterday that the prime minister will also invite Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to visit Pakistan during his visit to Turkey.

The spokesperson further said that the prime minister’s visit to Turkey is a reflection of the long-standing and friendly relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
Due to the busyness of the Prime Minister, the meeting of the National Security Committee scheduled for today has also been postponed.
It should be noted that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won the final stage of Turkey’s presidential election on Sunday and has been elected president for the third time in a row.
