In this regard, a rally was also organised on Tuesday to inform about the benefits of this scheme. Chairman Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) MPA Chaudhary Lateef Nazar and other PTI leaders led the rally which started from Iqbal Stadium and marched up to Chowk Clock Tower.

Talking to the media persons, Dr Shahbaz Gill said, “Our workers are very enthusiastic and ready to launch a mass-contact program to highlight the achievements of the PTI government”. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was committed to safeguarding rights of the masses which were totally denied by previous rulers.

Gill said Imran Khan launched health cards scheme to provide the best possible treatment to the poor. He said this scheme would be inaugurated in Faisalabad and each cardholder would have Rs 1 million for the treatment of his family.

He said that this scheme was initially started from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and maximum people opted for the treatment of eye diseases through this health facility. The second-largest beneficiaries of this scheme were those who got their delivery cases conducted in the best hospital of their own choice.

On Feb 1, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had launched Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card Program in Bahawalpur Division, Punjab. While addressing the launching ceremony, the prime minister said the health issues create economic problems for the people and our vision behind this scheme is to at least relieve them of the economic suffering when they get ill.

According to Prime Minister’s Office, Qaumi Sehat Cards have already been issued in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, some divisions of Punjab, Islamabad, Tharparkar, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

With inclusion of more than 10.5 million people from Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar districts, the number of eligible families and individuals benefiting from the Qaumi Sehat Card scheme in Punjab will increase by 63 percent.
