ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the formulation of Pakistan’s first drone policy.
The news was confirmed by Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on his Twitter account where he wrote that the prime minister had approved the formulation of Pakistan’s first drone policy, which would result in the development of the drone sector in the country.
وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے پاکستان کی پہلی ڈرون پالیسی مرتب کرنے کی منظوری دی ہے، اس پالیسی کے نتیجے میں پاکستان میں ڈرونز اور خصوصاً زرعی ڈرون کی انڈسٹری میں نئ جہتیں آئینگی اور جدید ڈرونز کی پرائیویٹ امپورٹ بھی ممکن ہو سکے گی۔

Fawad Chaudhry said that as a result of the policy, new dimensions would be created in Pakistan, especially in the agricultural drone industry and private import of modern drones would also be possible, he added.

Earlier, Chaudhry further said that drones could bring revolutionary development in the agricultural sector of Pakistan after which the country could move on the path of prosperity. Earlier this year in July, Fawad Chaudhry had shared photos of two agricultural drones and briefed the public on their details.
