Issues have been settled between the Federal Board of Revenue and Pakistan International Airlines for unfreezing the seized bank accounts of the national flag carrier.
According to the spokesperson of PIA, the bank accounts will be unfrozen soon after the completion of the necessary paperwork.
It should be noted that due to non-payment of dues, the Federal Bureau of Aviation Regulation (FBAR) had frozen the accounts of the national airline over non-payment of the taxes, affecting flights.
Prior to this development, the PIA spokesperson had confirmed the accounts had been frozen and informed that contacts were being made with the government level through FBR for the restoration of the accounts.
