PHC directs lawyer to file written argument of military court convictions

PHC forbids FIA to investigate against Asad Qaiser in funding case
PESHAWAR: On Tuesday the Peshawar High Court ordered military court convicts lawyers, federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments to submit written appeals on about 230 applications against those prosecutions until 20 February.
A bench comprised of Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth and Justice Abdul Shakoor noted that even if the complainants or respondents did not appeal in written, the judgment would be made accordingly.

It noted that following the passing of more than a year and multiple court orders, the federal government had not provided documents in those cases.
The court fixed Feb 20 for the next hearing in the cases, mainly opposing the death sentences issued by the military courts to complainants or their family members. The tribunal held in-camera hearings on complaints pertaining to military court prosecutions.
