The negotiations between the Ministry of Petroleum and the Petroleum Dealers Association were successful.
Petroleum dealers withdrew the strike call after negotiations with the Petroleum Dealers Association were held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, while Shahid Khaqan Abbasi from the government team participated in the meeting.
On the other hand, Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association was led by Chairman Abdul Sami Khan while Secretary Petroleum, Chairman OGRA, and DG Oil also joined the talks.
It was announced by the Dealers Association to continue the supply of petroleum products across the country as usual. According to the dealers, this decision was taken in the interest of the people.
Chairman of Petroleum Retailers Association Samir Najamul Hasan says that the margin of dealers has been assumed to increase by 3 and a half rupees per liter on petroleum products out of which 50 percent increase will be done on July 31 and another 50 percent on August 15.
