LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a new pay structure for domestic cricketers.

According to a revamped pay structure announced by the PCB, the 10 players in Category A Plus will get Rs 1.5 lakh per month while the 38 players in Category A will get Rs 85,000 per month.

According to the PCB, 48 players in category B will get Rs 75,000 per month and 72 players in category C will get Rs 65,000 per month. The 24 players in Category D will get a monthly stipend of Rs 40,000.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that players with domestic contracts will be given match fees along with a monthly stipend.

PCB press release stated that these player earnings can be calculated following the announcement of the 2020-21 domestic cricket schedule, which provides the best of the best cricketers the opportunity to feature in all 10 National T20 Cup, 10 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, and 10 Pakistan Cup matches.

Director High Performance, Nadeem Khan said that “While finalizing the 2020-21 domestic calendar, we not only had an eye on the three global white-ball events, we were also mindful that we had to improve our contracts that must benefit the players financially and encourage them to further raise the levels of their fitness and form so they can also stake claims in the franchise and national sides.
