Pakistan’s economy is always dependent on others because we do not take advantage of circumstances. Pakistan’s economy has always suffered due to lack of planning. It is always said that Pakistan is going through a difficult time but the situation will improve.
70 years have passed but Pakistan has not learned anything from its history. Pakistan should change itself and move towards strategic planning. It is seen that Pakistan’s economy is dependent on international oil, but in 70 years we have neither improved our oil production nor reduced its use.
In the meantime, we have seen that the people who sit in our Petroleum Ministry get huge salaries, but they don’t have any kind of planning, on the basis of which they can increase their oil reserves. Even today we buy oil in a 70-year-old way, that is, through tender. The conditions, which the ministry put in the tender, are absurd. That is why we have to accept the tender base and the price we get.
On the other hand, it happens that we ask for help from either Saudi Arabia or Kuwait which gives us oil in the form of aid but that oil is of very cheap quality. But we are charged a very high price for that oil. The history of Pakistan has shown that politicians have always acted in their own interest, they never put the right person in the right position.
Politicians prefer their own people so that when the time comes they can side with them and work in their interest. We should recruit people in Pakistan at the government level and institutions who are qualified for this position. The country in which people prefer patriotism will surely develop economically. People recruited on political grounds work less in the national interest and more in the interest of politicians.
The first thing that the government should do to change the country’s economy is to create love for the country in the people. So that when a person loves the country then he can do well for the country. We have become selfish and a selfish person does not love the country but destroys it.
We have also seen that here professionals have their own personal interest, they do not work in the national interest. Pakistan’s economy will not improve unless we bring reforms. Policies should be made in a way that benefits the people, but in Pakistan things are opposite.
If the economy of Pakistan is to be improved then such people should be brought in the institutions who know those jobs professionally, but more importantly, the one who comes should be patriotic, he should love the country.
